Discover Your Leading Values
Your values quietly steer every choice you make — even when you aren’t actively thinking about them. Understanding your values can help you navigate decisions with greater clarity and authenticity.
Take a short survey to find out which values are your guideposts.
The process
Take 5 minutes to go through 21 quick statements. Rate each one from 1 to 5 based on how much it sounds like you. Provide your most instinctive response.
Your takeaway
At the end, you’ll receive a visual snapshot of your top guiding values.
Adapted from Schwartz’s 21-item Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ), a globally recognised framework for measuring human values.

Your strongest value
—
Ten values on a circle, grouped into four colour-coded families. Neighbours tend to go together; opposite sides tend to pull against each other. The further a point is from the centre, the more you prioritised it.
A reflective picture of your relative priorities — not a clinical score — from one of several frameworks AxiaOrigin and ValuesMove use.
What the values and families mean
Shalom Schwartz’s ten basic values sit on a circle in four families, along two opposing axes — Openness to Change ↔ Conservation, and Self-Enhancement ↔ Self-Transcendence. These are their standard definitions.

The ten values
Hedonism sits on the boundary between Openness to Change and Self-Enhancement, sharing something of both.
Your personal result is just the beginning. While a single reading offers valuable individual insight, asking these same questions across communities, companies and countries reveals a much larger picture.

1
At the individual level
When your values are clearly defined, they become actionable. You can recognise them in your daily decisions, understand where they might pull against one another, and move forward with much greater intention.
-
2
At the organisational level
When mapped across teams and leadership, this same picture reveals the true culture and character of a business. It takes values out of the realm of abstract opinion and turns them into measurable data — sitting right alongside the financial metrics an organisation already tracks. Values become something you can clearly see and actively work with.

3
At the national level
At the scale of a country, understanding what citizens hold important dictates how we tackle our greatest collective challenges. Take food security, for example: what a nation chooses to grow, share and protect relies just as much on shared values and public trust as it does on markets and rainfall.
AxiaOrigin and ValuesMove partner to bring this deeper understanding within reach. By applying data science to measure values, culture and character, we connect the abstract elements of what people believe to the real-world decisions that shape our society.
